As a part of Jamaat-e-Islami’s ongoing repair and construction program for the flood-affected people, a house has been rebuilt for Tazul Islam, a resident of Biraimara village of Jointapur Upazila under Sylhet district. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman handed over the house to Mr. Tazul Islam today.
Among others, Sylhet north district Jamaat Ameer Hafez Maulana Anwar Hossain Khan and local leaders were present on the occasion.
While addressing the locals Professor Mujibur Rahman said, since the onset, Jamaat-e-Islami has been working for the benefit and welfare of the mass people. We are trying hard to remove their suffering. Jamaat-e-Islami also tried to take a stand by the side of the people, who have been affected by recent floods. Jamaat is working to put a smile on the face of the helpless people. But we should try to avoid show-off. Such a task is tantamount to adding a partnership with Almighty Allah. So, we should try to protect ourselves from such malpractices.
Professor Mujib said, there are many people like Tazul in society. But there are few to make them happy. We are urging all political parties, social and humanitarian organizations, and most of all the affluent corners to come forward to serve humanity. May Allah saves and protects all of us from danger.
We are working to save this nation from misrule and injustice and also to build it as a happy and prosperous country. If our fellow countrymen cooperate, Jamaat-e-Islami will be able to make an Islamic welfare state, by the will of Almighty Allah.
