Jamaat provides financial assistance to the road accident victims’ families

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is always active in serving and ensuring the welfare of those families which had been affected by natural disasters like floods, fire, and road mishaps and simultaneously in providing financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students and ailed patients.

On 17th July, on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, party’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim provided financial assistance to the wife of Sakhina Khatun, the wife of Shahidul Islam, in their house in Katla Bazar under Katla union of Birampur Upazila under Dinajpur south organizational district.

It should be mentioned that Shahidul Islam was killed in a road accident that took place in Nimtola under Fulbari Upazila on last 22nd May. Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dinajpur south organizational district Ameer Md. Anwarul Islam, district’s Assistant Secretary Saidul Islam Saikat, Birampur Upazila’s acting Ameer Maulana Md. Hanif, union president Maulana Md. Mabud Ali and local UP member Abul Kashem and others were present on the occasion.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, Jamaat-e-Islami has been working for the welfare of the people in order to establish a welfare state. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman-led Jamaat leaders have been working tirelessly to help the flood victims of Sylhet, Sunamganj, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, and other flood-affected districts since the beginning of this catastrophe.
