Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Human beings should serve other humans- such spirit originated from the holy Quran. Almighty Allah said, You are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. (Sura Imran: Verse 110) This task is not easy. We have to struggle and face obstruction and intimidation from the evil forces. To overcome such barriers, we have to be stronger in faith. He is a better human being who serves people in crisis. We are not able to remove public suffering. But at least we can encourage and assist them. Almighty Allah is the only capable entity to solve their crisis.
Jamaat Ameer said this while distributing food and other gift items among flood victims in different Upazilas under Sylhet district. He led the distribution activities for 4th consecutive day in Dhoradhorpur of Dokhin Surma Upazila, Tajpur area of Osmaninagar Upazila, Dekolosh union’s Shotpur area under Bishonathpur Upazila of the district.
Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, central executive committee member and Dhaka city North Ameer Muhammad Selim Uddin, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Sylhet city Ameer Muhammad Fakhrul Islam, Sylhet south district Ameer Professor Abdul Hannan, Nayeb-e-Ameer Lokman Ahmed, Sylhet city Secretary Shahjahan Ali, Sylhet south district Secretary Nazrul Islam, Fenchuganj Upazila’s former chairman Saifullah Al Hossain, Golapganj Upazila’s former chairman Hafiz Nazmul Islam and others were present on the occasion.
Jamaat Ameer said, ruling on this earth is dedicated to Almighty Allah only. It is easier to declarer that but really tough to continue to act on that path. This is the path that leads to martyrdom. Such a consequence does not come as a punishment rather as a mean to enhance the dignity and honor of the faithful. Even our prophets and pious predecessors had to experience such test and tribulations. May Allah accept them as martyr who had left us with deep faith.
The government had many duties and responsiblities but they failed to act accordingly. Despite having the capacity, who denied serving people in this critical condition, they have to be accountable before Allah. We are also running a orgnization. We have some limited funds. However, we are trying to fulfill the rights of that money. We want to establish a just society where people can live peacefully. We are trying to make a country like that and expecting that you will be remained by our side in carrying out such efforts.
Jamaat Ameer further said, we love our fellow people. It is not a verbal issue. Love should come from the bottom of heart. The government, which is used to repress and torture religuious scholars, can not attain the blessing of Almighty Allah. We will not bow down our head in front of vested quarters, we will not compromise with the repressor insha Allah.
