Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Rangpur-Dinajpur region organized a two-day long workshop on the virtual platform on 20th and 21st May with the district/city working committee members. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and regional coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim presided over the program. Central organizing secretary Maulana Momtaz Uddin hosted the program. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman addressed the program as the chief guest.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said Jamaat was established to meet the challenge of the century. Many the veteran leaders are not among us today. Repression, murder, false cases, and imprisonment have become a regular phenomenon in this country. Public voices are subdued. Pens are being made stopped under the digital security act. Awami League government’s oppression has exceeded all previous records. People are suffering severely due to price hikes of the essentials. Though, 90 percent people of in the country are Muslim. But ignoring their sentiment, the government is plotting a conspiracy against the religious scholars, religious leaders, and religious institutions.
Awami League had proved in the past that fair election is not possible under their government. The newly formed election commission also became questionable. They have bluffed the nation by raising the issue of so-called development. We are depending on Almighty Allah only. After the martyrdom of the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, the responsibilities have come on our shoulders. You have to discharge your responsibilities at the district and city levels as well.
Jamaat’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum attended the training camp as a special guest. Among others, the party’s Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General and Chittagong city Ameer Maulana Mohammad Shahjahan, and central organizing secretary Muhaddith Abdul Khaleq presented topic-based discussion in the program. Jamaat’s central working committee members Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal and other regional team members and city and district Ameer were present on the occasion.
Maulana ATM Masum said, Islam, is the name of an ideology and movement. Our Prophets and His companions also led the movement. They have passed the critical tests of the moments with sincerity and sacrifice. We also have to work hard for establishing Islam. We have to seek help only from Allah. No one but Allah can help us. Dangers come from Allah and we have to move forward by taking inspiration from the lives of the Prophets.
Hamidur Rahman Azad said, we need to produce people to manage the organization through Tarbiah and purification. Jamaat-e-Islami will remain by the side of the people through public welfare and social services. Jamaat will go ahead systematically and democratically. We want to achieve our goal based on public support.
