Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum said, the journey of Isra is miracle and a great sign of Almighty Allah’s supreme power. Almighty Allah stated in the Quran that, “Glory to ((Allah)) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).” (Sura Bani Israel: Verse 1). So, the directives and instructions of Miraj incident is vital to attain salvation both in this world and the hereafter. He urged everybody to become inspired with the lesson of Miraj incident and also to bolster the Islamic movement.
He said this while addressing a virtual discussion titled “The importance and significance of Miraj’ arranged by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city North. Central Executive committee member and Dhaka city North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin presided the program and city North Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim hosted the dicussion. Tamirul Millat Madrasa’s former principal and noted religious scholar Maulana Zainul Abedin spoke on the occasion as the special guest. Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member and Dhaka city Noth Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, religious scholar ANM Rashid Ahmed, Dhaka north city’s Majlish-e-shura member and Ulema Department’s President Dr. Maulana Habibir Rahman addressed the program.
Maulana Masum stated, although some quarters claim that the journey of Isra and Miraj happened within dream but it has happened physically. With this incident, Almighty Allah gave the last messenger and His beloved friend to come to His close by witnessing the vast miraculous glories of Almighty Allah, proof of the prophethood, advises for the wises, guidance, blessings, interactions with the previous prophets, space, the Greathe Throne and the Pen. By leading a prayer of the prophets at the Baitul Muqaddis, Islam’s superiority and universal aspects have been substantiated.
He said, Miraj is a great gift from Almighty Allah for the blessed Prophet (pbuH). According to the Hadith, the Prophet (pbuH) had been awarded with multiple gifts. Firstly, 5 times prayer, secondly a guarantee of forgiveness for the humanity except the polythesists, last part of Sura Al Baqara, 14 point directives for the Bani Israelis which are as follows: to become sincere loyal to Allah and making no partnership to Allah, good behavior with parents, to ensure rights of the orphans and the travelers, not to waste and extravagance, not depriving the poor and destitute people, donating others, avoiding adultery and fornication, not to kill kids due to assumption of poverty, measuring items properly, fulfilling promises and avoid boastful manners. All these instructions are guidelines to build a welfare state. He urged everybody to be united to establish a just and welfare based Islamic society according to the instructions of Miraj incident.
Maulana Zainul Abedin said, Miraj is significant part of Islamic history. Prior to establising Islamic state in Madina, Prophet (pbuH) was guided with a relevant outline. The final prophet (peace be upon Him) implemented those outlines to make Madina a city, free from crimes and exploitations. He also called upon the people to become united for establishing a welfare state as per the outlines of Miraj.
Mohammad Selim Uddin said, people’s humanity largely lies upon the implementation of the lessons of Miraj icnident. So there is no alternative but materializing Prophetic ideology and Miraj lessons in our personal, family, social and national lives. He urged the leaders and activists of the Islamic movement to make broad base unity as per the outline and instructions of Miraj in order to build a ideal and welfare nation and society.
