Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that, unit presidents have to play key role in building Islamic society and simultaneously to secure the freedom of the people. People will never be freed under the prevailing ineffective state mechanism and corrupted administrations. This is why, Jamaat-e-Islami has to ensure active role to endorse Islamic spirit and values by preaching Islam among the people. He said this while addressing a virtual conference of Narayanganj city’s unit presidents’ on Friday.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, people are required to be vocal to preserve and protect country’s independence and sovereignty and also against the dominating forces. Besides, Jamaat activists have to present themselves as an Ideal Muslims by going through Quran, Sunnah and Islamic literatures.
Jamaat’s central working committee member and Narayanganj city Ameer Maulana Mainuddin Ahmed presided over the program. City Secretary Abu Naqib hosted the event. Among others, Jamaat’s central executive committee member Saiful Alam Khan Milon and Dhaka city South Ameer and central executive committee member Nurul Islam Bulbul addressed the program.
Jamaat Ameer said, there is no instances for taking revenge in Islam. Despite severe persecution and torture, the Prophet (peace be upon Him) forgave all and concentrated more on building an Islamic society. Jamaat leaders and activists also need to forget the repressions in order to take part in building the nation.
Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Jamaat men have to demonstrate themselves as ideal human being. They have to serve people in crisis. Nurul Islam Bulbul said, Satan plotted conspiracies to misguide the people. We have to be alert about those conspiracies along with ongoing local and international conspiracies.
Maulana Mainuddin thanked the participants for attending the program and listening to the speeches of the guests. He also urged the leaders and activists of Marayanganj city Jamaat to work according to the directives of the central leaders in the upcoming days.
