A meeting of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held in an auditorium of the city on 10 February. Party’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman presided over the meeting.

The program declared a 9-member committee led by party’s Secretary General Professor Golam Porwar to celebrate the golden jubilee of Independence on March 26, 2021. The members of the committee are Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad, Central Publicity Affair’s Secretary Matiur Rahman Akanda, Dhaka South city Ameer, Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka North city Ameer Md. Salim Uddin, Dhaka south city Secretary Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Masud and Dhaka North city Secretary Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim.

On the eve of this great moment of golden jubilee of the independence, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has undertaken massive programs from center to the grassroots to pay tribute to all valiant freedom fighters and the martyrs of the liberation war. The party also took massive programs to uphold the importance and significance of this historic event. 4 sub-committees have been formed as well to implement the centrally declared programs.
