Jamaat Ameer visits the victim families of the Joypurhat tragic accident; consoles them

At least 12 people were killed and eight injured when a passenger bus of Bandhan Paribahan collided with a Rajshahi-bound Uttara Express train from Parbatipur at Puranapoil rail crossingon last 12 December. The driver of the vehicle is critically injured and undergoing treatment in Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and party’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan today to extend solidarity and compassion to the family members of the injured and deceased victims. They also consoled the mournful families. During the visit, the Jamaat leaders tried to know the latest condition of the victims. Jamaat Ameer along with the local leaders and the victim families, offered prayer to Almighty Allah to accept the deceased as martyrs, seeking quick recovery of the injured and also seeking patience for their family members.

Jamaat leaders at that time said, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working with the people to establish an Islamic welfare state. We have come to you from our moral obligations. We are praying to Allah for your betterment. Please do pray for us so that we can take the side of the destitute people.

At that time, Ameer-e-Jamaat and other Jamaat leaders visited the destroyed bus. He urged the authorities concerned to probe into the incident and to take due measures for preventing such tragic accidents.
