Rangpur district’s Mithapukur Upazila Pairaband Union Chairman and Vice President Rangpur district Sramik Kollan Federation, popular leader Mahbubur Rahman Mahbub was brutally murdered by the miscreants on 5th November night. He was 56. He has left his wife, 3 sons and many other relatives. He was buried today in his family graveyard following funeral prayer which was held the Pairaband Girls High School ground.

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 6th November expressing deep shock at the brutal murder incident of Mahbubur Rahman.

“Mahbubur Rahman was a popular leader. He was close to the people in their season and out of season. The miscreants murdered him as they became envious of his popularity. I am expressing deep shock at his death and praying to Allah to accept him as a martyr.

At his demise, we have lost a dedicated soul for the Islamic movement. He worked relentlessly to establish a just society. He had lots of contributions in upholding and circulating the message of Islam in his locality. May Allah bless him. May Allah expand his grave. May Allah turn his vices into pieties. May Allah award him with Jannah and help his family to overcome this shock.

In a separate condolence message, Professor Mujibur Rahman said, Abdul Bari, the elder brother of the first martyr of the Islamic student movement in this country, Shaheed Abdul Maleq died in a hospital of the capital on 6th November. (Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). I am expressing deep shock at his death. Late Abdul Bari was a great father. He has made his all sons as qualified to become the leaders of the Islamic student movement. His two sons have discharged duties as district president. Two of them became the members of the central working council of Islami Chhatrashibir. They are former central cultural affairs secretary and Islami University’s former president Monowarul Islam and former science affair secretary and Rajshahi city’s former president Dr. Anwarul Islam. One of his son was the office secretary of Rajshahi city Chhatrashibir.
