Message of condolence:

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 23 November 2020 at the death of former Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami’s women wing and former member of Parliament Muhatarama Rashida Khatun.

We have lost a veteran sister of Islamic movement at the death of Rashida Khatun. She was a great servant of Islam. She has played a pivotal role to spread Islam and Islamic preaching among the women communities of the country. As a parliament member from 1991-1996, she tried her level best to establish rule of law, justice, human rights and women’s rights in the country. As a teacher, she also worked significantly to promote ideal citizens based on education and moral values. She set an extra ordinary example of sacrifice and dedication while discharging her organizational duties. I am expressing deep shock at her death. May Allah accept all her noble deeds to bless her with Jannah.

I am also extending deep sympathy to her mournful families and relatives. May Allah help them to hold patience in these moments of shock and distress.
