Amar Desh Editor Mahmudur Rahman released on bail; Acting Secretary General expresses gratitude to Almighty Allah

Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 23rd November, 2016 expressing deep gratitude to the Almighty Allah as the Acting Editor of Bengali Daily Amar Desh, Mahmudur Rahman has been released on bail today from Kashimpur central jail, part-2.


“I am expressing my humble gratitude to the Almighty Allah as the Acting Editor of Bengali Daily Amar Desh, Mahmudur Rahman has been released on bail today. I am also congratulating and felicitating him on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on the occasion of his release after a long term imprisonment.


The incumbent government has made a great injustice and oppression against him since 11th April of 2013. But by the grace of Almighty Allah, he never bowed down before the suppressor regime. Rather he has successfully elevated in the test of patriotism.


He has become crticially ill as he has been suffering from different complicated diseases during this long term imprisonment. I am praying to Allah so that he could be recovered soon. I am also praying for his swift recovery and long life with success.”
