Rafiqul Islam Khan strongly condemns the false and baseless statement of Zainul Abedin Farooq

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan issued the following statement on April 13 condemning and protesting the baseless false statement made by BNP leader Mr. Zainul Abedin Farooq in which he said that ‘Jamaat-e-Islami has started giving tickets to heaven by gathering women in mosques’,

“I strongly condemn and protest the baseless false statement made by BNP leader Zainul Abedin Farooq in a talk show on SA Television Channel on April 10 in which he that ‘Jamaat-e-Islami has started giving tickets to heaven by gathering women in mosques’. There is not a shred of truth in his statement. His statement is politically motivated. Out of jealousy over the increasing popularity of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, he has made such slanderous, fabricated and ridiculous remarks. Such light comments do not befit a senior person like him. Without finding anything to criticize about Jamaat-e-Islami, Mr. Zainul Abedin Farooq has tarnished his own reputation by making sarcastic and ridiculous comments about the Islamic Dawah activities. It is very painful to try to mislead the people with such absurd and insensitive statements.

I urge BNP leader Mr. Zainul Abedin Farooq to refrain from making fabricated and ridiculous false statements about Jamaat-e-Islami, considering his own position and reputation.”
