Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 8th July, 2024 congratulating the newly elected Prime Minister of Great Britain and Labor Party leader Mr. keir Starmer.

On my personal behalf and on behalf of my party Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Keir Starmer for being elected as the Prime Minister of United Kingdom. I hope that he will play pragmatic, justified and effective role in resolving various existing crises across the globe.

We are also optimistic about his dynamic role for ensuring democracy, rule of law and human rights in all corners of the world including Bangladesh.

I am wishing his good health, long life and peace and tranquility in his individual and family life.”
