One Musulli killed during a clash with Qadiani community in Panchagarh

Qadiani's reckless activities are totally anti-Islamic

- Maulana ATM Masum

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum has issued the following statement on 5th March 2023 protesting and condemning the murder of one Muslim devotee who have been killed during a clash with the Qadiani community in Panchagarh district on 3rd March.

One Musulli has been killed and 70 people became wounded during a clash with the Qadiani community at the Chowrangi intersection of Panchagarh town. We are condemning this incident and praying to Allah for accepting him as martyr and also for quick recovery.

Bangladesh is a Muslim majority country where 90 percent people are Muslims. In this country, Qadiani community is committing reckless activities against Islam. The Isla-loving people will never accept it. The government’s role in this regard is questionable. The prevailing tensed situation can be avoided if the government would take initiative. Many Muslim countries already declared Qadiani community as non-Muslim officially. The government should resolve the Qadiani crisis permanently paying full heed to the public views and also to declare Qadiani Non-Muslim officially.

I am urging the concerned authorities to take proper legal steps against those people who were involved with the murder incidents of Panchagarh district and also take measures to facilitate the treatments of the injured. Besides, I am urging the government to declare Qadiani community as non-Muslim immediately.
