Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 20 October 2019 protesting and gainsaying a news titled “জামায়াতের নেতৃত্বে কে?” (Who leads Jamaat?) published in the first page of the Daily Samakal today.

“We have seen the news. It has stated information quoting the comments of Jamaat’s Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. But the real fact is, no conversation took place between the concerned reporter and Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. They never met as well. So, without any such meet or conversation, quoting someone and to make a news on that is contractor to the ethics of journalism. I am condemning the role of the concerned reporter and urging him to be refrained from publishing such news in future.
