Jamaat's message, it’s candidate's call, and the symbol scale must reach to every household

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Abdul Halim has said that to achieve good results in the upcoming elections, the grassroots organization must be strengthened. Jamaat's message, it’s candidates, and the call to support the election symbol scale must be delivered to every household in the area. Jamaat’s male and female members (Rukon) must play a leading role in sacrificing their lives and resources.

He said the fallen fascist government had established a politics of enforced disappearances and killings across the country. Many of those abducted during the fascist regime are still missing. Several of Jamaat’s top 11 leaders were hanged through politically motivated and unjust verdicts, and others were killed while imprisoned. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of leaders and activists across the country were subjected to arrest and persecution. Bangladesh had become a hostage to authoritarian rulers. The fascism of the Awami League collapsed through the mass uprising of students and people in July 2024.

He further stated that Jamaat-e-Islami continues its efforts to build a society and state free from discrimination. Through its positive politics and constructive activities, Jamaat-e-Islami has earned the trust and affection of the people of the country.

Maulana Abdul Halim made these remarks while addressing a special Rukon (members-only) conference as the chief guest held on August 4 (Monday) at the Birampur Community Center on Thana Road, Birampur Municipality in Dinajpur district. The event was presided over by Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Dinajpur District Ameer, Principal Anisur Rahman, and hosted by Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Dinajpur District Secretary, Muhaddith Dr. Enamul Haque.

The conference was attended by members of the district unit, as well as Ameer and Secretaries of various upazilas. Additionally, separate women’s Rukon conferences were held in Dinajpur city, Sadar Upazila, Biral, Kaharol, and Birganj upazilas.
