This morning, on 4 December (Thursday), a meeting took place between leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a delegation from the U.S.-based International Republican Institute (IRI) at the party’s central office.

The meeting, held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere at Jamaat-e-Islami’s central office, was attended by South Asia Resident Program Director Stephen Sima, Senior Director Sonja Glockl, and Program Consultant Amitav Ghosh as members of the IRI delegation.

Representing Jamaat-e-Islami were Assistant Secretary General and Head of it’s Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, academic and researcher Dr. Mokarram Hossain, Dr. Zubair Ahmed, and Dr. Shabbir Ahmad.

The meeting discussed IRI’s recent survey conducted on political parties in Bangladesh.
