Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "The current interim government should depart with due honor after holding a free, fair and acceptable elections within a reasonable time by making all necessary reforms in consultation with all levels of stakeholders including political parties." Because delaying for years can lead the nation towards further anarchy and chaos.
Referring to Awami League, Ameer Jamaat said, the offenders of genocide have no right to do politics. Because politics should be done by addressing the aspirations of the people of the country and not with the help of anyone from outside. He said that the Education Reform Commission should include at least one scholar from Aliya and another one from Qawmi school of thoughts. Demanding that all the murders of the country, including the killing of 57 vigilant army personnel in the name of BDR mutiny, and its masterminds be brought to justice, he said, otherwise the tyrants may come again, or at least the third force may emerge.
Jamaat Ameer said this while addressing the members’ conference organized by Khulna city and Khulna district Jamaat-e-Islami held at Al Farooq Society in Sonandanga area of the town. Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar spoke in the program as the special guest. Central Executive Council Member Mr. Mubarak Hossain and Central Working Council Member and Khulna Region’s Assistant coordinator Maulana Abul Kalam Azad also addressed the program which was presided by Khulna city Jamaat Ameer and Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member Professor Mahfuzur Rahman.
Jamaat's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said, "During the last fifteen years of Awami regime, no citizen of the state was free from looting and oppression. The cries and pains of thousands of people, mothers, sisters and children reached the Throne of Allah. This led to the fall of the fascist government.
Highlighting the Awami League regime, Jamaat Ameer said that the first phase of fascist rule began with the killing of BDR. Then steam roller was run on Jamaat. Attempts were made to wipe out the Jamaat by hanging or imprisoning the top leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami. The leaders who had engaged their lives for Islam and Islamic movement, became accused of hurting the religious sentiment of the people. The cruel lesson of history is that already those who have complained against Jamaat are now in deplorable condition. He also hoped that the current government would initiate a judicial process to bring those conspirators to justice."
In the speech of the special guest, Secretary General and former MP Prof. Mia Golam Parwar said, "the mass uprising of July-August is the result of the tears of many oppressed people. Despite the 15 years of Awami League and two years of Moinuddin-Fakhruddin, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has become the favorite organization of the people of this country only because of their strong faith and trust in Allah.
He urged the oath-taken members to work for the establishment of Allah's religion in the land of Allah as per the oath. The members have taken an oath that every moment of the believer will follow the command of Allah. So, there is no opportunity for the members to go beyond the command of Allah.
Jamaat has become a powerful organization in the country even though many top leaders have been killed because of the sacrifices of the sworn workers. For this reason, he called upon every member of Jamaat-e-Islami to fulfill their responsibilities by developing firmer attitude and organizational standards. He also mentioned that everyone should come forward to pass the test of Eman.
Special guest Mr. Mubarak Hossain said, "Despite hundreds of oppressions by the fascist government, Jamaat-e-Islam has become a beloved organization of the people today by the grace of Almighty Allah."
