Jamaat Ameer visits hospital to see the injured of the anti-discrimination movement

We do not want to see any government in the future in a tyrant role, says Jamaat Ameer

On 19th August, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman went to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) hospital to see the injured victims of the recently held anti-discrimination student-people movement. Dhaka north city Jamaat took the initiative. During the visit, Jamaat Ameer looked after the treatment of the injured and provided financial assistance to them.

Jamaat’s Central Executive Council Member Mubarak Hossain, Central Executive Council Member and Dhaka North city Ameer Muhammad Salim Uddin, Central Working Council Member and Dhaka north city Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, Central Working Council Member and Dhaka north city Jamaat secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim, NITOR director Dr. Professor Kazi Shamimur Rahman, Assistant Secretary of Dhaka north city Jamaat Mahfuzur Rahman and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, publicity secretary Ataur Rahman Sarkar and others were present during the occasion.

After visiting the hospital Jamaat Ameer briefed the journalists. At that time, he said, "We have come to see those who became injured in the anti-discrimination movement. We could not talk to all the injured. Talking to everyone will disrupt the medical services here. So, we have met several of them.”

Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said, “We should all learn from the anti-discrimination student movement. It is the consequences of treating people with oppression. This lesson is not only for Awami League, this lesson should be taken by Jamaat and BNP too. All who come to work for the people must learn this lesson. Those who will come in charge of running the country in the future should not play the role of oppressors. They must not follow the same path of Awami League.

Jamaat Ameer also prayed for the for the deceased and simultaneously sought quick recovery of the injured. He prayed for the victim families. He became very thrilled and inspired to see that the injured have not broken down; rather they are happy with the injuries as they could done something significant for this nation.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “The change that has come now has brought relief in the life of every citizen. It has brought back honor and dignity. Now we can introduce ourselves in the country and outside the country with ease and proudly say that I am a Bangladeshi."

Jamaat Ameer expressed gratitude to all the hospital directors, nurses, technologists, technicians, staff, and wished for their dignity by serving the nation with sincerity and dedication. Remembering the overall responsibility of the citizens to overcome the damage done in the recent movement, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman requested the countrymen to stand by the families of the martyrs, the injured and the crippled victims.
