Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former member of the Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar has said that Jamaat-e-Islami is an ideological and pro-people political organization. Jamaat has secured its unique place in public heart through social service and humanitarian activities. To reform a society, public base is a must. Jamaat wants to build strong public base through massive Dawah and social activities.
He said this while addressing half-yearly virtual member’s conference of Dhaka North organizational district today. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka North district Ameer Maulana Afzal Hossain presided over the program. While, district Secretary Maulana Shahadat Hossain hosted the event. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka North region’s team member Abul Hashem also spoke on the occasion as the special guests.
Secretary General said, members are the pillars of the organization. They maintain the basic structure of this organization. Jamaat members has to take the responsibilities of their families, as well as their society and state. Such responsibility can be attained through continuous study of Quran and Hadith. To make skilled man power, Jamaat has created a cadre based organizational structure. Jamaat’s working forces are tested. Our members should be self-motivated and they should work together to take this organization towards the ultimate victory.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, members of Islamic movements should not make any compromise with ethics and morality. They should be model in terms of loyalty, trustworthiness, honesty, discharging responsibilities and securing other’s rights. They should spontaneous in spending money for the sake of Allah. They should be lighthouse for the society. Sacrifice and devotion is very common for Islamic movement. Our martyrs and crippled brothers had set such exquisite examples.
