Everybody should come forward to build a just society, says Professor Golam Porwar

“Torture and repressions have increased severely across the globe. The number of under-privileged and oppressed people have been increasing alarmingly. Though the Muslim world has immense possibilities and potentials, still these regions are living under the poverty line. People are being deprived as there is no existence of a just society. The imperialist forces have undertaken a massive plan to wipe out Islam by subduing the Islamic movements globally.

Bangladesh is also an integral part of this phenomenon. Even in this country, the anti-Islamic forces are being instigated to launch war against the Islamic movement. Under the circumstances, all the pro-Islamic forces should be united against these vested quarters.”

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar said this while addressing a virtual member conference. Narshingdi district Jamaat-e-Islami organized the program on 30 July.

He said, public lives have been widely affected by the corona pandemic globally. Still, ill-deeds, tortures and suppressions are continuing in full swing. To get rid of this pandemic, everybody should come forward to establish a just society. Everybody must turn back to Almighty Allah. Jamaat leaders and activists should take stand against the victims and oppressed communities in this critical time.

Narshingdi district Jamaat Ameer Maulana Md. Musleh Uddin presided over the program. Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, central executive committee member Saiful Alam Khan Milon and central Majlish-e-Shura member Abdul Zabbar addressed the program.

Addressing the program as special guest, Hamidur Rahman Azad said, people should be encouraged to get involved with the ongoing humanitarian activities of Jamaat-e-Islami. Activities of Dawah should be expanded. Jamaat must be transformed into a pro-people organization. He urged everybody to continue welfare activities in order to establish a welfare state.
