I am expressing my deepest shock and condolence as 11 people including a newly married couple were killed when a Dhaka-bound train rammed their microbus at an unmanned level crossing in Sirajganj’s Ullapara upazila on 15 July evening. This tragic accident took place as the rail crossing was unprotected. But how this crossing has been remaining unprotected for days?

I am urging the concerned authorities to probe into the incident and to bring the responsible personnel to the book. Besides, the victim families must be provided due compensations. I am also calling upon the authorities to take immediate steps to make this rail crossing safe and protected.

Finally, I am praying for the salvation of the departed souls who have been killed in this accident. I am also extending my sympathy to their mournful families.

To prevent the recurrence of such accident, I am urging the concerned authorities to probe into the incident to find out the responsible personnel.
