Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 2nd July 2019 protesting and gainsaying the false and confusing report which has been published in the online version of Daily Amader Shomoy and Daily Samakal today implicating Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir.
“I am severely protesting and denouncing the false and confusing report which has been published in the online version of Daily Amader Shomoy and Daily Samakal today implicating Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir. The reports are completely baseless.
The reports claimed to discover some connections of Jamaat-Shibir with the reported incident of arms recovery in Dhaka. Whatsoever is written in these reports about the involvement of regional leader from Dhaka or Chittagong or a central leader, is far away from truth. We want to reaffirm that, Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir believe in systematic and democratic trend of politics. Jamaat and Chhatrashbir do not believe in the politics of arms and terrorism. So, no question can be emanated about having such connection of Jamaat and Chhatrashibir with the incident. These two reports have conducted a propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir quoting the reference of some police officials. The target of such propaganda is to confuse and to mislead the countrymen which had been done before as well. But their ill-efforts have been proved as false and manipulated in all occasions.
I am urging the authorities of Daily Amader Shomoy and Daily Samakal to be refrained from continuing such propaganda and expecting that they would publish our rejoinder properly to minimize the mass confusion.”
