20 party’s alliance’s candidate for Dhaka-15 (Mirpur-Kafrul) constituency and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 18 December 2018 condemning the attack and vandalism of the miscreants in the Awami League office, located in Mollapara of the constituency.

“This type of attack is truly a cowardice task. Some vested group may launch this heinous attack to foil the election. To stabilize the electoral environment, I am urging the concerned authorities to conduct proper investigation into the incident to identify the real perpetrators and also for ensuring their exemplary punishments.

Level playing ground must be ensured for the sake of holding a free, fair and credible election. I am drawing the kind attention of the election commission and the administrative authorities in this regard.
