Ruling party terrorists create anarchy in front of Dr. Taher’s residence; Secretary General condemns

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 14 December 2018 protesting and condemning the terror activities of Awami League goons as they came up with a motorcade of around 40 motorbikes and hurled cocktail in front of the house of 20 party alliance’s candidate for Comilla-11 (Chouddogram) constituency and Jamaat’s central Executive Committee Member Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher.

“The Awami hooligans have created a frightful situation this afternoon in front of the house of Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher. This incident indicates that, the government and the election commission is pushing the nation towards anarchy instead of creating a congenial atmosphere for holding a free, fair and credible election. I am vehemently condemning the biased role of the government and the election commission.

Due to terror acts of the ruling party activists, the role of the government and the election commission become questionable. The countrymen want an immediate end to such biased role.

I am urging the concerned authorities to resist all terror activities with iron hand for the sake of a free, fair and credible election.”
