Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 5 November 2018, urging to observe Revolution and Solidarity Day with due fervor.
Revolution and Solidarity Day is going to be observed on next 7 November. This day is highly significant in context of our national lives. The soldiers and people of all walks made a united effort on 7 November of 1975 to resist the conspiracies in order to defend independence and sovereignty.
The nation is going to observe 7 November in such a crucial time, when there is no democracy and rule of law in the country. To get rid of this situation, a massive broad base unity is required to launch a massive movement. The countrymen will be inspired with the spirit of this day to protect country’s freedom and sovereignty once again.
In this backdrop, I am urging all the wings and front organizations of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to observe Revolution and Solidarity Day on next 7 November with due fervor by holding discussion and prayer programs.
