Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 20th October 2018, protesting and gainsaying a report titled “জঙ্গীবাদে মদদ জামায়াত-শিবিরের” (‘Jamaat-Shibir backs militancy’) published in the first page of Bengali daily Janakantha today.
Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir has no nexus with militancy at all. So, there is no option for these two organizations to back militancy. I am vehemently protesting such false and baseless report of Daily Janakantha.
The information which has been published in the report regarding Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir is completely false and baseless. Though Jamaat-e-Islami had protested such untrue reports several times in previous occasions, but still they are trying to mislead the people by propagating the false information repeatedly.
I am urging the authorities of Daily Janakantha to be refrained from publishing such false and baseless reports against Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir in future.
