Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan has issued the following statement on 30th September 2018 protesting and gainsaying the intentional propaganda of Daily Janakantha as they have published two false reports against Jamaat-e-Islami.
“I am vehemently protesting and condemning the untrue, concocted and baseless reports published in Daily Janakantha against Jamaat-e-Islami.
The report, published in the first page of Daily Janakantha, has mentioned some information about Supreme Court’s Senior Lawyer Barrister Abdur Razzaq, which is completely false. Protesting a similar report in amadershomoy.com on last 26th September, Barrister Abdur Razzaq has stated that, he has no plan to meet former Chief Justice S K Sinha. His reported trip plan in USA to meet S K Sinha is also untrue and baseless. After such reaction, Daily Janakantha today published another report implicating Barrister Abdur Razzaq, which is nothing but a planned propaganda.
We have claimed it earlier as well that, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has no connection with any militant organization. So, no question is emanated of having any tri-national militant network under the patronization of Jamaat-e-Islami. It becomes a bad habit of Daily Janakantha to carry propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami. Daily Janakantha is doing it continuously but they do not have the moral courage to publish the rejoinder of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Under the circumstances, I am urging the authorities of Daily Janakantha to be refrained from conducting false and baseless propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami.
