Central Publicity Department Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 10th September 2018 protesting and gainsaying the false and baseless report, published in online news portal amadershomoy.com on 9th September centering the financial department of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

“Online news portal amadershomoy.com on last 9th September has published a report about the financial department of Jamaat-e-Islami which is completely false and baseless. I am vehemently protesting such untrue report.

This report raised allegation about embezzling money from Jamaat’s financial account which is nothing but a fiction of the concerned reporter. Based on such fictitious information, the reporter talked about division within Jamaat-e-Islami, which is just hilarious. Regarding such allegation, our clear view is, the concerned reporter has no idea about the financial record of Jamaat-e-Islami. This is why; he has tried miserably to demonize the character of Jamaat leaders. The entire report of amadershomoy.com is based on fiction. It has no relevance with reality.

Former Central President of Islami Chhatrashibir had tried earlier to form a new committee comprising a portion of Shibir, such allegation has also been made in that report which is also a sheer lie. The countrymen would not be misled and misguided by such confusing report.

Under the circumstances, I am urging the authority of online news portal amadershomoy.com to be refrained from publishing such false and baseless report against Jamaat-e-Islami in future and expecting that they would publish this rejoinder properly to lessen the mass confusion.
