Veteran Jamaat leader and noted lawyer Advocate Sheikh Ansar Ali dies; Jamaat Ameer condoles

Former central working committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, former lawmaker, senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, former Assistant Secretary of Supreme court Bar Association and former central President of Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation Advocate Sheikh Ansar Ali died in a private hospital of the capital this noon at the age of 78 due to massive brain hemorrhage. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 6 October, 2020 at the death of Advocate Sheikh Ansar Ali.

In his condolence mesaage, Jamaat Ameer said, Advocate Sheikh Ansar Ali was a dedicated individual for Islamic movement since his childhood. His primitive and active role during the democratic movements of 80's and 90's will be remembered always. He also played crucial role to make the democratic movement of those days successful. He was vocal to secure the rights of the labor communities. As a distinguished lawyer, he extended his brilliant services. He will be remembered for his outstanding contributions in spreading and expanding the sermons and teachings of Islam nationwide. I am expressing my deep shock and condolence at his demise. May Allah accept all his noble deeds and services and bless him with Jannah. Ameen.

Extending sympathy to his mournful family, Jamaat Ameer said, may Allah help them to hold patience.
