Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 7th April 2023 protesting and condemning the heinous attack of the Israeli occupying force against the Muslim devotees inside the holy Masjid Al Aqsa.
Israeli occupying forces mercilessly and barbarously attacked the Muslim devotees inside the first Qibla of the Muslim community Al Aqsa Mosque in Palestine. The Muslims were saying their prayers at that time. During the attack, the occupying forces hurled tear shells and rubber bullets which left several hundred Musullis wounded. Israeli forces also arrested 350 Muslims on the spot. Even the little kids were not spared from the attack. The occupying forces did not allow the doctors to enter the area for ensuring the treatment of the wounded. They also did not allow the wounded victims to go to the hospital. Israeli soldiers’ brutal attack inside the holy Mosque even in this holy month of Ramadan is heinous and we have no words to condemn it. Likely the Muslim world, we are very saddened by these attack incidents. We are vehemently condemning the attack of the zionist forces.
Individual rights to take part in religious activities are globally recognized. But the occupying Israeli forces are attacking the land of Palestine frequently and violating the fundamental rights, system, international human rights, and treaties randomly. They have tarnished the sanctity of the Al Aqsa mosque and hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims across the globe. So, the global communities should come forward to stop such heinous attacks and also to ensure the religious freedom of all citizens.
We are calling upon the world communities and the United Nations to establish a free and sovereign state of Palestine and also to ensure the sanctity of the holy mosque. In addition, we are urging Muslim communities across the globe to raise their voices against the brutal attacks of the Israeli occupying forces.
