Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami provided financial gifts to two victim families which have lost their near and dear ones in the Sima oxygen limited factory blast in the Kadamrasul area in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong district. Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee member, Assistant Secretary General and Chittagong city Ameer Muhammad Shahjahan provided this assistance to the families of Muhammad Farid of Salimpur Jalalabad area and Shamsul Alam of Kadamrasul area on behalf of Jamaat’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman. An emotional atmosphere was created at that time. The victims’ families expressed their deep gratitude after receiving gifts from Jamaat-e-Islami.
During the occasion, Muhammad Shahjahan, we have come to you on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Our organization always try to assist people during natural disasters and other crisis. Despite all tortures and repressions, Jamaat-e-Islami will continue to work for the betterment of society and the state. He further said we do not want to be a leader by doing politics, rather we want to serve the people. We are adamant to work for the welfare of the people tackling all vested forces.
Muhammad Shahjahan visited the grave of Shamsul Alam and prayed to Allah to accept all blast victims as martyrs. Besides, he urged the government and all responsible quarters to extend their helping hand to the victims.
Among others, Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Chittagong north district Ameer Professor Nurul Amin Chowdhury, district Jamaat’s secretary Alauddin Shikdar, Chittagong North district’s tarbiah secretary Anwar Siddiq Chowdhury, Sitakunda Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Tawhidul Haque Chowdhury, Upazila Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Kutubuddin Shibli, union Ameer Nurul Islam, and union secretary Salim Jihadi were present on the occasions.
