Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on 12th July 2022 has announced a fund of 5 crore taka for the rehabilitation procedures in flood-affected areas.
In this regard, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that from 16-17th June, several districts of the north-eastern and northern part of Bangladesh were severely affected by the disastrous flood. By the grace of Almighty Allah, the situations in these areas have improved a bit. But the damages and losses, caused by this flood are unimaginable. Only Allah can manage such losses. We are seeking His blessings and mercy for the helpless flood victims. May Allah forgive us and bless us with His bounties.
Jamaat Ameer said I am expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah from the bottom of my heart. Since the beginning of this flood, Jamaat-e-Islami took a stance by the side of the victims with all means. Not any specific area, all branches, and wings of Jamaat-e-Islami have been extending their all-out support to reduce the suffering of the flood victims. Along with our leaders and activists, general well-wishers and patrons also came forward to make our activities easier. May Allah reward all of them with the highest reward both in this world and the hereafter.
Jamaat-e-Islami and different other organizations, institutions, and individuals have made efforts to provide food and other necessary items to the flood victims. May Allah accept our efforts and hard work. Jamaat-e-Islami also made an attempt to provide financial support and other educational accessories to the students and examinees. Our such efforts will be continued, insha Allah.
Primarily it is the obligation and responsibility of the state to rehabilitate the poor and helpless people. But the passivity of the government has surprised and shocked us. Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to initiate the rehabilitation activities as per our capacities. We are seeking the help of Almighty Allah in our implementation process. We also expect people’s love, support, and kind assistance. Jamaat-e-Islami already formed a fund of 5 crore taka for rehabilitation activities. May Allah give us barakah and help us to reach the door of the poor and helpless victims. Ameen.
Besides, I am making a humble call to all organizations, institutions, and good souls to extend their hands of cooperation in the rehabilitation of the flood victims. May our combined efforts bring a smile to the face of these helpless people. Ameen
