Sports strengthens unity, solidarity and creativity: Selim Uddin
Central Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Dhaka city North unit Ameer Muhammad Selim Uddin said, the mother language is the most favourite and most adorable asset to every individual. This is why, many youths including Salam, Barkat, Rafique and Jabbar had sacrificed their lives for the dignity of the mother language. But even after so many days of that incident, still the Bengali language is not being used at all levels. It is the government’s responsibility to make this language available and usable in all contexts. He was addressing a friendly football match and award distribution program on the occasion of the international mother language day. Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city North’s Rampura thana unit arranged the program.
He thanked the organisers for arranging such sport event. Selim Uddin said, sports is the only thing that is making our nation united again and again. He also encouraged the attendances more on sports saying that sports and games are crucial to strengthen social unity and solidarity. Besides, it also nurtures creativity and innovation, he added.
