Road crash kills 13 people in Chuadanga; Mia Ghulam Parwar expresses condolence

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar has issued the following statement on 26th March, 2017 expressing deep shock as at least 13 labourers were killed and 12 others injured as a truck collided head-on with a human hauler in Joyrumpur area of Damurhuda upazila of the Chuadanga district.

“It is really a painful incident as at least 13 labourers were killed and 12 others injured as a truck collided head-on with a human hauler in Joyrumpur area of Damurhuda upazila of the Chuadanga district.

Everyday many people are being killed, injured and become crippled due to repeated violations of the traffic rules. It is required to pressurize the drivers to comply traffic rules to resist such road accidents. It is also needed to ensure punishment of the personnel who are responsible for the road accidents. Otherwise such fatal road mishaps would not be checked.

I am urging the concerned authorities to investigate the road accidents that took place in Joyrumpur area of Damurhuda upazila of the Chuadanga district. Besides, I am calling upon to pay compensation to the victims and also to take due measures for ensuring proper medical treatments for the injured.
