Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued a condolence message on July 6 by expressing deep sorrow at the passing of Professor Mahmudah Begum, mother of Daily Amar Desh Editor Dr. Mahmudur Rahman.

In his message, he stated: “As a professor, Mahmudah Begum served the nation by spreading the light of knowledge. She was a pious and accomplished woman. I am deeply saddened by her demise.

He further added: “I pray for the forgiveness of her soul and ask the Almighty Allah to grant her a place in Jannah. May Allah give strength and patience to her bereaved family to endure this great loss. Ameen.”
