One of the founders of Turkey's Milli Gurush movement, Professor Dr. Najmuddin Erbakan's long-time colleague, former minister Mr. Rezai Kotan has passed away. "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun."

He was the former chairman of Fazilat Party (1997-2001) and subsequently of Sadet Party (2001-03, 06-08).

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolences on 7th October, 2024 expressing deep grief at the death of Mr. Rezai Kotan.

"I, personally, and our organization Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Rezai Kotan, one of the leaders of Milli Gurush movement in Turkey and former minister. In his death, the people of Turkey and the Muslim world have lost a worthy leader. He has played an important role for the development and prosperity of Türkiye. Türkiye and the Muslim world will remember him with respect.

May Allah Almighty forgive him, have mercy on him, and widen his grave. May Allah forgive his sins and turn the sins into virtues. May Allah make every destination easy, comfortable, and auspicious for him from the grave onwards. May Allah Almighty grant him a place in Jannah and give patience to his bereaved family, well-wishers, and colleagues. Ameen.
