Former Nayeb-e-Ameer of Rajshahi city Jamaat-e-Islami, former President of Masjid Mission Rajshahi city and Rajshahi University’s Physics department’s retired Professor Nurul Islam died of a brain stroke today 8th September at 10 am in the morning at the age of 77. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He left his wife, two sons, 7 daughters, and many other relatives. His first Namaj-e-Janaja held at Uttara Sector 10 Mosque today. He will be buried in Khojapur social graveyard following his second Janaja which wull be held at the premise of Rajshahi University central mosque.
Message of condolence
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence at the death of Professor Nurul Islam.
Jamaat Ameer stated that, Professor Nurul Islam will be remembered for his outstanding role to spread science-based education and nurturing citizens based on moral values. The nation lost a great academician at his demise. He has worked relentlessly to establish a just society. He has served the Islamic movement tremendously. I am expressing deep shock at his death.
May Allah mercy upon Him and expand his graveyard. May Allah forgive his sins and turn those into pieties. May Allah bless him with Jannah. May Allah let his mournful family to hold patience.
