Mia Abdul Hamid, father of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar died this noon at the age of 92 while undergoing treatment in a hospital of the capital. Inna lillahiWa Inna IlaihiRajun. He has left his wife, 5 sons, 5 daughters and many other relatives. His eldest son and Jamaat’s Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Powar is detained now in the Kashimpur central jail.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 17 October 2021 at the death of Mia Abdul Hamid.

Mia Abdul Hamid Honorable father of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of Parliament (detained) Professor Mia Golam Porwar died this noon at the age of 92 while undergoing treatment in a hospital of the capital. Inna lillahiWa Inna IlaihiRajun. I am expressing deep shock at his death. Alhamdulillah, he was a successful father. His sons and daughters are dedicated to Islamic movement. May Allah accept detained Secretary General and all of his sons and daughters as noble Sadaqah.

Already he has completed his journey in this transient world and now his journey towards eternity has begun. May Allah bless him in this long journey. May Allah ease his staying inside the grave and the subsequent stages. May Allah accept all his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah. May Allah give his family members and relatives due patience to overcome this painful moment.
