Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 3 July 2020 at the death of Advisor to the BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, former President of Sylhet district and city unit BNP, Mr. M A Haque.

Mr. M A Haque was a veteran politician. He played a significant role in all the democratic movement of the country. The nation will recall his outstanding contribution for restoring democracy. I am expressing deep shock at his death and praying for his departed soul. May Allah accept his good deeds and bless him with Jannah.

I am also extending deep sympathy for his mournful family and praying for them so that they can hold patience in this painful time.
