Veteran religious scholar Abdur Rashid Madani dies; Acting Ameer expresses condolence

News of condolence:

Renowned Islamic scholar, director of Darul Arabia, Maulana A K M Abdur Rashid Madani died of kidney and liver complications on 17th January, 2018 at the age of 67. Innalillahi Wa Innai Ilaihi Rajiun. He was undergoing a treatment in a city hospital. He left his wife, 4 sons, 7 daughters and many relatives and followers. His first Namaj-e-Janaja held at Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasa at 8 in the morning on 18th January. His second Janaja held at the Eidgah ground in Nolgaon village under Kapashia Upazila of the Gazipur district after the Juhar prayer. Later he was buried in his family graveyard.

Message of condolence:

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 18th January, 2018 at the death of renowned Islamic scholar, director of Darul Arabia, Maulana A K M Abdur Rashid Madani.

In the condolence message, Acting Ameer prayed for the decease saying May Allah bless renowned Islamic scholar late Maulana A K M Abdur Rashid and protect him. May Allah accept him as distinguished guest and expand his grave. May Allah recognize all his noble deeds to bless him with Jannah.

Acting Ameer also extended his deep sympathy to his mournful family and prayed so that they can hold patience in this mournful period of time.”
