Hamidur Rahman Azad disapproves the false report of Bangla Tribune against Jamaat-e-Islami

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 26th February, 2017 protesting the false and baseless report published in online Bengali portal ‘Bangla Tribune’ titled “জামায়াতে আবারও ব্যর্থ সংস্কারের প্রচেষ্টা” (Another reform attempt in Jamaat failed) .

“The report published in Bangla Tribune on 26th February is baseless and false. This false report has been published just to smear the image of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. In the report, it is stated that Ataur Rahman has placed some reform proposal about Ameer-e-Jamaat and the working policies of Jamaat-e-Islami. Such claim is completely concocted. There is no group namely reformist in Jamaat-e-Islami. Being failed to tackle Jamaat-e-Islami politically, the incumbent authoritarian government and several governments’ subservient media are continuously carrying ill efforts to demonize Jamaat-e-Islami. In the name of journalism, they are publishing some manipulated and fictitious news. The countrymen do not believe such fictitious reports. The people would not be puzzled by such confusing reports.

Under such circumstances, I am urging the authority of Bangla Tribune to be refrained from publishing fictitious reports about Jamaat-e-Islami and Mr. Ataur Rahman in future.”
