Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar issued a statement today, July 20 thanking and congratulating the countrymen and all concerned for making the national rally held by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on July 19 successful.
In the statement, he said, “The national rally of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Saturday, July 19, was a great success overall. I would like to express my gratitude to the national leaders, journalists, intellectuals, lawyers, professionals, students, farmers, workers, teachers, religious scholars, representatives of non-Muslim communities, family members of July martyrs, injured July warriors, people from all walks of life in the country, DMP, Traffic Department, law enforcement agencies, Electricity Department, Dhaka WASA, Public Works Department and all concerned who attended the rally. On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, we express our sincere thanks and gratitude. It is only by the special mercy and compassion of Allah Almighty, and the sincere help and cooperation of everyone and the blessings of prayers that we have been able to make such a big gathering a success. We are grateful to Allah Almighty for the sunny and favorable weather that made the national gathering a success, Alhamdulillah.

Top leaders of various political parties went to Ibn Sina Hospital in Dhanmondi to see the ailing Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. During the visits, they inquired about the health and treatment of the Jamaat Ameer and prayed to Allah Almighty for his speedy recovery. In addition, many well-wishers from home and abroad visited Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman He prayed for their recovery. The Jamaat Ameer expressed gratitude to all of them.
