This evening, 27 December, a meeting of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held under the chairmanship of the Party Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting, held at the central office of Jamaat-e-Islami was attended by the Party’s Nayeb-e-Ameers, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary Generals, and other members of the Central Executive Council.

The meeting discussed in detail the prevailing situation in the country, Jamaat's grand rally scheduled for 3 January, and seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

For the welfare of the country and the nation, and with the aim of establishing justice and truth to transform Bangladesh into a peaceful and welfare-oriented state in the coming days, from the Executive Council Meeting, a call was made for people from all walks of life to unite. To this end, the people of the country were urged to ensure the success of the grand rally to be held on Saturday, 3 January, at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.
