Eid reunion program organized by Dhaka south city Jamaat-e-Islami

We have to make all-out efforts to ensure the victory of Islam, says Professor Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said, we have received the legacy of Eid-ul-Azha from the historical incident which took place in between Prophet Ibrahim (A) and His son Prophet Ismail (A). In today’s reunion program, that incident has been discussed multiple times. Muslim community has two Eid celebrations in a year to observe. One is Eid-ul-Fitr and another is Eid-ul-Azha. Almighty Allah has elected Prophet Ibrahim (A) as the father of the nation. Through this test, he could identify Allah properly. With this sacrificing incident, our faith and physical strength have increased. We have to take lesson from this incident. We should not prioritize consumption; rather sacrifice should be our target. We should learn the lesson from these incidents and utilize those motivations to ensure the victory of Islam.

He said this while addressing an Eid reunion program organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka south city as the chief guest. Central executive committee member of Jamaat-e-Islami and Dhaka south city Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the program which was hosted by city secretary and Jamaat’s central working committee member Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud. Professor Mujibur Rahman said, we have to be advanced on the basis of the sacrifice and lesson of Qurbani. We should have the mentality to sacrifice everything to establish Islam. Whoever sacrifices luxuries and comforts in exchange for the hereafter, they are the most perfect persons to work for the Islamic movement. Almighty Allah has made such declaration in the holy Quran. We do have love and affection for our kids. So, we should be aware of these facts to avoid deviation from the right path. We should not neglect the obligations of the movement.

Maulana ATM Masum said, Hazrat Ibrahim (A) has passed the test of sacrifice. Almighty Allah has made Qurbani mandatory and obligations to keep the memory of Ibrahim (A) intact. The Muslims should rule over his desire, or love for wealth to attain success in this world and the hereafter.

Hamidur Rahman Azad said, there is no democracy and freedom of speech of the country. Public lives and properties are not safe. The government is using the law enforcers as their political tool to oppress the nation. The government has made the economy crippled by smuggling currencies, committing loan scams and also by destroying the banking sector. Government’s utter failure has turned the country into a failed state. Under the circumstances, a pro-people government to be established through a free, fair and credible election through a caretaker government.

Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda said, Islam is the only complete code of conduct, endorsed by Almighty Allah. Only Islam can ensure the rights of the citizens. We have to learn from the lesson and sacrifice of Eid-ul-Azha and accordingly we have to work hard to establish just state based on the Islamic ideology.

Nurul Islam Bulbul said, the Eid-ul-Azha inspired us not only to offer sacrifice and also to eradicate financial exploitation and discrimination in a bid to establish a society based on Taqwa. If we can follow Islamic ideology in the practical life and also can establish justice and equity in our lives then we will be able to attain the satisfaction of Almighty Allah. He urged everyone to build a society free from exploitation based on the ideology of the Prophet Ibrahim (A).
