Jamaat-e-Islami distributes tins for house construction in Gaibandha and Rangpur

The vested quarters who seize people’s rights through the mid-night election can never be a friend to the people- Maulana Abdul Halim

On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, around 200 tins have been distributed among 73 families at Lalchamar Bazar under Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha district and another 35 families of district Sadar on 15 November morning. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim at that time also visited the construction activities of 5 houses. These activities have been carried out as a part of the post-flood rehabilitation program. It should be added that Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the area last 19th July and assured to extend assistance to the flood victims.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, politics to be done for the benefit of the people, not for earning or laundering money. The so-called politicians who made another illegal residential area named Begum Para by seizing the voting rights of the people can never be a friend to the people.

Abdul Halim said, earlier, we had conveyed greetings on behalf of Jamaat Ameer and again we have come to you. We are handing these houses over to you as a part of our promises. Please pray for us so that like the current practices, may Allah blesses us to work for the betterment of the people by utilizing state apparatus. We are grateful to Allah as He allowed us to help you.

From our obligation, we took a stand beside the helpless people in their crucial times. This is humanitarian, social, and welfare work. As an ideological party, it participates in all noble activities as per its capacity. From such responsibility, we are handing these houses over to you. This is not our pity towards you rather a right of the helpless people. We are just trying to convey your due rights to you.
