Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has visited the spot in Marea union under Boda Upazila of the Panchagar district where the boat capsized in the Kortoa river recently. At that time, Jamaat Ameer met 70 victim families who have lost their near and dear ones in this accident and also met the families of those messengers who are still missing. Jamaat Ameer said we came here out of love and affection. We cannot fulfill the vacuum which has been created due to the losses of your family members. But we will try to be on your side during the season and out of the season. Jamaat Ameer also instructed the local Jamaat leaders to take care of these helpless and mournful families.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahma said humanity is above all issues. We came here with some gifts for you. This is nominal and a bit of condolence for you. If it benefits you that will be our achievement. We are not here to show you pity. We came here as your friend. We are here to share your pains. Your pain is not only yours, but we are suffering from this pain as well. But we are not enough to accomplish this process. We want the solvent corners to extend their help too. All political parties and social and voluntary organizations should come forward to help these poor and helpless people.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, Jamaat-e-Islami works for all. Listening to the recent accident, Jamaat Ameer felt your pains and he was keen to meet you.
