Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stands beside flood-affected Qawmi Madrasa

On last 7th, 8th and 9th August, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has visited 43 flood-affected Kawmi Madrasa located in Sylhet district's Sadar, kompaniganj, Goyainghat, Jointapur and Kanaighat Upazila. He also provided financial assistance to the principals and super of these Madrasa on behalf of the organisation.

At that time, Jamaat Ameer visited Rajargaon madrasa of Sylhet district sadar, Kolabari Madrasa of Kompaniganj Upazila, Fatehpur Madrasa of Goainghat upazila, Kashimul Ulum Noyagram Madrasa of Jointapur Upazila, and Rajaganj and Soripara Mohius Sunnah Madrasa of Kanaighat upazila and talked to the Madrasa authorities and students.

Jamaat Ameer at that time said, I am very happy to stand by your side in this crucial time. Please pray for us seeking blessings of Allah so that we may respond to humanitarian call in critical periods.

During this visit, Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahasanul Mahabub Zubayer, Sylhet north district Ameer Hafez Maulana Anwar Hossain Khan, Nayeb-e-Ameer Vice-Principal Maulana Foizullah Bahar, district secretary and former chairman of Jointapur upazila Zainal Abedin and district level leaders were present.

Jamaat Ameer also urged the religious teachers and scholars to play significant role like the previous occasions to meet the national necessity.

Jamaat Ameer also prayed to Allah to fill up the losses that occurred to the educational institutions during the latest flood. Besides, he prayed to Allah for these Madrasas so that these noble institutions can play effective roles to spread Islamic education in the society.
