Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, our party colleagues have taken a stance by the side of the flood victims since the onset of the recent disastrous flood. Still, we are trying to support them with our maximum support and will continue to do so, Insha Allah. We did not have any shortage of sincerity, but we had limitations of items. So, we could not reach you on time. We are sorry for that and expect that Almighty Allah will forgive us as well.
Jamaat Ameer said, our capacity is limited. It is easier to provide food but rehabilitation is very difficult and a major challenge. I already instructed our fellow colleagues to avoid shortcomings in this process. The most affected victims will receive our support first. In this regard, we will not make any sort of discrimination irrespective of their faith, ethnical group, caste, and political identity. We are seeking the help and blessing of Almighty Allah to accomplish these huge tasks.
He said, during this critical condition, it is the responsibility of all faithful to offer dignity and respect to others. Serving humanity is great worship. So, let us come forward and stand beside the helpless people ignoring all differences. Jamaat Ameer said this while inaugurating the house repair assistance program in Kolmakanda under Netrokona district today. Netrokona district Jamaat organized the event.
At that time, Jamaat Ameer handed over tins and other necessary items for the victims to facilitate their house repair initiatives. These house construction and repairing items are being distributed under the ongoing rehabilitation program by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
