Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized the programs for providing assistance in order to repair and construct the houses of the flood victims in Dimla and Joldhaka Upazila under Nilphamari district, Aditmari Upazila under Lalmonirhat district, and Fulbari and Rajarhat Upazila under Kurigram district and Kaonia of Rangpur district today. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman launched the program today. The program has been initiated as a part of Jamaat’s ongoing program under its rehabilitation program in flood-affected areas.
Jamaat Ameer was present in the program of aforesaid 4 spots and distributed tins and other house repairing items among the flood victims on 18th July, Monday. Addressing the gatherings, Jamaat Ameer said, I have not come here as Ameer-e-Jamaat. Rather I came here as your fellow brother. Despite having full sincere desire, I could not go to all places. I am really sorry for it. But I tried to take your information from local leaders.
He said Almighty Allah allows His favorite people to extend help towards humanity. We believe that we are getting blessings from Almighty Allah at all moments. I am expressing my deep gratitude to Allah in this regard.
Jamaat Ameer said it is easier to distribute food among people but really difficult to rehabilitate them. We do not make any difference and discriminate irrespective of religion and faith. Those who are more affected will get our assistance on a priority basis. It is our obligation and duty to honor people. So, it is our humble appeal to everybody, please come to help humanity putting aside all differences.
Jamaat Ameer claimed as your fellow brother I came here with some gifts for you. Today I am giving these gift items to some victim families. We will extend such help to all victim families gradually. Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim, central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, Nilphamari district Ameer Abdur Rashid, Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Jashim Uddin, Secretary Principal Abdus Sattar, Lalmonirhat district Ameer Lecturer Ataur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman and Secretary Advocate Abu Taher, Aditmari Upazila council’s former vice chairman Advocate Firoz Haider Lavku, Kurigram district Ameer Maulana Abdul Matin Faruqee, Secretary Maulana Nizam Uddin, Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdul Hamid and Shahjalal Shabuj, Rangpur city Jamaat Ameer Maulana ATM Azam Khan and Rangpur district Secretary Maulana Enamul Haq and other local leaders were present on the occasion.
